1971 Chevrolet C10 Street Truck 2021 NSRA Street Rod Nationals South Knoxville TN

In this video from the 2021 NSRA Street Rod Nationals held in Knoxville TN, I check out this very clean 1971 Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck…Covered in a beige and white color combination that it wear really well..Gives it a very clean close to stock appearance….This 1971 Chevrolet C10 pickup from the 2021 NSRA Street Rod Nationals South is not a over the top custom…It’s really pretty close to stock…Just a whole lot cleaner…and much cooler!!..I don’t believe it’s had any body modifications, As a matter of fact it appears to still have all of it’s stock molding and trim…The interior is a custom maroon leather and even though you can tell it’s custom…It looks like it could have come from the factory back in 1971 if Chevrolet offered a sports edition…Not sure what powers it..A General Motors V-8 engine that has been cleaned up a little…But again not over done or anything close to custom….Just like the rest of the truck, Looks like it could have come that way…Just much nicer and cooler than what was available back in 1971…Wheels are always a personal choice but I’m good with the ones they chose to run on this 1971 Chevrolet C/10 Street Truck from the 2021 NSRA Street Rod Nationals South…The underside of this truck is clean and set up to drive….Although I’m sure it cost a pretty penny..This 1971 Chevrolet C10 Pickup from the 2021 NSRA Street Rod Nationals is not a crazy custom or million dollar build..But it is a cool..Clean truck…Check it out!!!

1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie Jason Graham Hot Rods 2021 Goodguys Nashville Nationals

In this video from the 2021 GoodGuy’s Nashville Nationals I stop by Jason Graham Hot Rods display and check out their latest build this 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie….It’s covered in a color called Inferno a pearl orange that goes from red to gold depending on lighting…Very cool color for sure…The trim is all custom and done in a Brushed Nickel Finish giving it a touch of modern…The all custom interior is covered in a medium/dark brown leather…Very comfortable looking and very cool!!..Wheels are always a personal choice and no one set will please everyone…I really dig the ones that Jason Graham Hot Rods chose to run on this 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie from the 2021 Goodguy’s Nashville Nationals…The custom hood has just a slightly raised cowl….Looks like it could have came that way from Ford back in 1963. Jason tells Me they had to have a little more room than factory to fit the Supercharged 5.0 Coyote that powers this beast to fit…The suspension and the underside of this 63 Galaxie has all been upgraded and finished to the same high level as the rest of the build…It was awarded a 2021 Goodguy’s Rod And Custom Association Custom Rod Of The Year Finalist award at the 2021 Goodguy’s Nashville Nationals…The first of many awards I suspect this Jason Graham Hot Rods built 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie will win this year…One very cool Car for sure…Check it out!!!!

1989 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-12 National Corvette Museum Bowling Green Ky

In this video from the National Corvette Museum I check out the 1989 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-12. That’s right…It’s not a misprint…Chevrolet made a Corvette ZR-12 to compete with newly announced Dodge Viper V10…The story goes that after Dodge had announced the Dodge Viper would have a V-10 Engine .Chevrolet hurried back home and cut a early production Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 in hafe and had a V-12 built to be installed …The had to add eight inches to the length of the stock 1989 Chevrolet Corvette ZR 1 to make room for the 4 extra cylinders…When You visit the National Corvette Museum you expect you will see every generation of Corvette ever made…And You will…What will really surprise you is that there is a lot that went on throughout history you had no idea about…The 1989 Chevrolet Corvette ZR12 never made it to production..The Dodge Viper did and had the World’s attention for several years…A cool car for sure. Chevrolet fans can only dream of what if Chevrolet would have went forward with their bigger Brother to the Dodge Viper V10…The Chevrolet Corvette ZR-12..I really enjoyed my visit to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Ky….Even if your not a Big fan of the Chevrolet Corvette..The automotive history is still very cool to see…Check it out!!!

Ed “Big Daddy” Roth “Orbitron” National Corvette Museum

In this video from the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green KY I stopped in to check out the Ed Big Daddy Roth exhibit they had for there for several months…Ed Roth was known for creating over the top custom cars that He used on His T-shirts and were later made into model car kits that young kids bough all over the world…On My visit to the National Corvette Museum I shot several videos of this exhibit…One was a overview and the others like this one is a closer look at the Ed Roth Cars that were on display…Orbitron is a car with a interesting history and a car that Ed considered a failure…Orbitron is one of the few Ed Roth builds where the engine and a lot of the chrome work was covered up by body work….When You see it today it looks like a cool custom car from the 60’s… The car has been redone a few times and was last found rotting behind a adult bookstore in Mexico. It is now been restored to all its original glory…One of the coolest features is the three color light on the front that was designed to create a bright white light…The Ed “Big Daddy” Roth custom car Orbitron is a cool part of custom care history..I was very honored to be able to capture it…I know You’re going to enjoy seeing it….Check it out!!!!

This past weekend I was excited to have the opportunity to attend the 2021 Knoxville NSRA Street Rod Nationals South car show with ScottieDTV. This was its 47th year running and we were blessed with beautiful weather in typically rainy springtime. I heard there were over 1,000 cars registered and even more showed up to attend. People enthusiastically flocked to the area to view the amazing array of cars and enjoy the lovely day. The show had vendors of all types, custom builders, car parts, insurance, barbecue, and some seriously good snow cones. There was something for everyone. The NSRA even provided a mobile mechanic in case anyone had issues with their car after arriving at the show.

Scottie and I walked many miles making sure we didn’t pass any car by. We found some amazing builds, really detailed graphics, and a lot of serious horsepower. Some of the highlights for me were a ’55 Cameo, a ’32 Ford, a VW bus with groovy graphics, a ’68 GMC Step Side, a ’48 Bentley, and a ’53 Nash Pink Panther theme with metallic flake paint and ghost graphics. A neat thing about outdoor shows is that things are always changing and there are new surprises around every corner as cars come and go. Every time we made a loop around there were new cars to see. I had a good time talking to owners and builders to see what their motivation was behind each build. One thing I look for is unique, natural shots that are not staged, like the black mirror finish on the GTX having a great reflection of the street rod parked next to it.

I am happy to see car shows back in full swing again and people of all ages getting out to enjoy the show. There is nothing more American than barbecue, hot rods, and car shows.
