In this video from the National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY, I found a 1975 Chevrolet Corvette that is the perfect blend of family history and modern supercar performance.
This isn’t just any C3 Corvette. The current owner has had this car since he was 16 years old! Growing up on the family farm, his father had a tradition: when the boys turned 16, they got a Corvette. With three boys in the family, you can imagine the garage!
Decades later, this ’75 has undergone a massive transformation. It now sits on a full tube-style chassis with the suspension, transmission, and running gear all upgraded to C6 Corvette specs. Under the hood, the original engine has been swapped for a modern, high-revving LS7 V8, giving this classic the heart of a Z06.
The exterior is finished in a head-turning Lamborghini Aventador Orange, which perfectly accentuates the custom body modifications. Inside, you’ll find a completely custom gray leather interior that brings a level of modern luxury to this vintage shark.
This is a true “labor of love” build that bridges the gap between a family heirloom and a modern-day corner-carver. Check it out!
