In this episode of ScottieDTV, we’re at the 2026 NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, KY, checking out a incredible 1948 Chevrolet Panel truck with a story unlike any other.

Once part of the Max I. Walker company fleet, this truck spent years sitting at the bottom of a ravine in Nebraska before being rediscovered and offered back to the family. The third-generation grandson jumped at the chance to bring it home, transforming a lost piece of family history into an absolute knockout of a street rod.

The custom body modifications on this build are top-tier:

Chop & Stance: The body is channeled 5 inches, the roof pancaked 3 inches, and the hood sectioned roughly 1.5 inches to give it a razor-sharp profile.

Air Ride: Built on full air suspension, allowing it to lay right on the ground for an aggressive, low-slung stance.

Paint & Finish: Dressed in a striking blue and silver two-tone paint job, complete with the original Max I. Walker logo hand-painted on the sides as a nod to its roots.

Interior & Power: Inside features a fully custom leather interior, while under the hood sits a ultra-clean 383 Chevy small-block fitted with a supercharger for plenty of boost.
