A 1965 Ford F-100 Saved, Restored, and Reimagined: The Ultimate Dad’s Truck Story!
When the current owner’s dad bought this 1965 Ford F-100 brand new off the dealership lot in 1965, it was the only brand-new vehicle he would ever buy. As a kid, the current owner built unforgettable memories in the passenger seat. His dad’s rule was clear: "It’s yours when I’m gone, but until then, it’s mine."
Today, that promise has come full circle—and this classic Ford F-100 has been transformed into a jaw-dropping custom pickup that is far nicer than factory-new, while keeping the heart and memories of the original build intact.
In this video, I catch up with the owner at Steve Holcomb Pro Auto Custom Interiors right as he’s taking delivery of the finished build.
Key Features & Upgrades:
Timeless Paint: Wrapped in its original two-tone Red and White color scheme, just like it rolled off the assembly line in '65.
Custom Interior by Steve Holcomb: A completely custom, high-end cabin featuring rich dark brown leather accented with contrasting light-colored diamond pleating.
Modern Muscle: Under the hood, the original power plant makes way for a roaring 427 Stroker engine.
Stopping Power: Upgraded braking system to reliably haul all that modern horsepower to a stop.
This isn't just a restomod; it's a family heirloom built with love, nostalgia, and top-tier craftsmanship.
