2026 Ridler Winner! 1956 Chevrolet "Elegant Lady" - 2026 Detroit Autorama - ScottieDTV
Description:
In this video from the 2026 Detroit Autorama, I have the absolute honor of showing you the car that just took home the most prestigious award in the custom car world—the 2026 Ridler Award winner!
Nicknamed "Elegant Lady," this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible is a masterclass in "subtle but extreme." Owned by Rex and Rhonda Satterfield of Tennessee, this build was an 8-year journey of passion. The project was started by the late Jeff Wolfenbarger of Kool Kolors and brought across the finish line by Kevin Riffey and the crew at Riffey’s Hot Rods in Knoxville, TN.
This Tri-Five is packing some serious heat under the hood with a supercharged Don Hardy LS7 pumping out a cool 1,000 HP. But it’s not just about the power; it’s the details that’ll blow your mind:
The Look: Finished in a sophisticated "Café au lait" (Light Coffee) paint that is absolutely flawless.
The Interior: A full custom leather interior by Steve Holcomb, featuring a modified 1956 Pontiac dash that looks like it was born there.
The Stance: It sits perfectly on an Art Morrison chassis with a 3-inch body drop and a one-piece floor pan.
The Jewelry: Custom one-off wheels and steering wheel by Evod Industries, with chrome and polishing by Advanced Plating.
Every inch of this car has been touched, tucked, or smoothed, yet it keeps that iconic '56 Chevy silhouette we all love. It’s a bittersweet victory as the car stands as a tribute to Jeff Wolfenbarger, and man, did they do him proud.
