In this video from the 2026 Pigeon Forge Rod Run, we take a close-up look at an absolute masterpiece of custom fabrication: a 1953 Chevrolet Pickup Truck built by the incredibly talented team at Garret's Rod Shop out of Columbus, OH.
Dubbed "Mjölnir," this truck earns its legendary name. Coated in a striking medium gray paint that perfectly mimics the look of Thor's mythical hammer, this '53 Chevy strikes a flawless balance between classic styling and an aggressive, modern stance. Garret's Rod Shop went above and beyond with the custom fabrication, sharpening the lines and giving this truck a much meaner attitude than anything that rolled off the assembly line in 1953.
Under the hood is a beautifully clean LS3 install, packing the kind of modern punch a truck named Mjölnir deserves. It’s built to drive, too, riding on a fully updated modern suspension, heavy-duty modern brakes, and a killer set of custom wheels that tie the whole build together.
Slide inside, and you’re greeted by a stunning, full-custom medium brown leather interior. It’s a perfect, warm contrast to the industrial gray exterior, proving that no detail was overlooked on this build.
"Mjölnir" was so impressive that it earned a well-deserved invitation to the 2026 ScottieDTV Dirty Dozen right here at the Pigeon Forge Rod Run!
