The laser straight body is covered in a bright silver paint with plenty of chrome for bling! The custom leather interior is done in a black and brown combination that works well with the bright silver of the 1967 Chevy Nova body. Wheels are always a personal choice and no one set will please everyone.. They chose to run 18″ Schott wheels on all four corners, and that was good enough to win a 2023 Great Eight. Under the hood is a chromed out 496 Big Block Chevrolet. The under side of this 1967 Chevrolet Nova “Rome” from the 2023 Detroit Autorama is just as custom and finished to the same high level as the rest of the build. This 1970 Chevrolet P10 Step Van Ice Cream Truck with a Hot Dog cooker from the 2023 Detroit Autorama was built by Drag Week Legend Tom Bailey. When I seen the name on the information card, I automatically thought it would be more Hot Rod than Ice Cream truck…It’s powered by a 270 Horsepower 4.2 Liter. So it’s not fast. But man is it cool….First they really do serve Ice Cream from it at the events they attend. How cool is that!?! This 1970 Chevrolet P10 Step Van also has a real deal Hot Dog roller mounted in the dash!! Now…How cool is that!?!?!..Wheels are a personal choice and no one set will please everyone.
